This is the first step in our process, where our team of architects and interior designer listen carefully to your project goals, and work with you on the design and selections for the construction process.
- Complimentary consultation - we will meet with you to discuss your goals and investment (budget) for your project.
- Meet the VB Homes team - you will meet our architect and design team who will work with you during the entire process.
- Approve architectural agreement - this begins the architectural process.
- Design meetings - you will have a series of meetings with our architects to develop drawings based on your goals and budget.
- Approve pre-construction agreement - this will be based on schematic drawings and an agreed upon budget. It will also ensure a place in our construction schedule.
- Selections of finishes and materials - you will meet with our interior designer who will assist you in making all of your selections.
- Approve construction agreement - this is based on final pricing of detailed drawings and your selections.

- Pre-construction meeting - your project will have an assigned project manager who is responsible from the beginning of construction to the final completion of the job.

1. Obtain construction loan financing (if applicable)
2. Sign construction agreement
3. Pre-construction meeting with your Project Manager to discuss construction schedule and logistics of the project
4. Quality inspection Program begins
5. Clearing and selective demolition
6. Installation of footings and foundations
7. Installation of framing, windows and doors
8. Dry-In stage to include roof installation and house wrap
9. Walk-through with your Project Manager to inspect framing, and discuss start of electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning rough-in.
10. Installation of exterior trim, siding, brick
11. Insulation and wallboard
12. Installation of interior doors, trim, cabinetry, and countertops
13. Completion of interior paint
14. Completion of grading walks, patios, driveway and landscaping
15. Completion of electrical, specialty wiring, plumbing, heating and air conditioning
16. Installation of all flooring
17. Complete all City inspections, including Certificate of Occupancy
18. VB Homes final quality inspection
19. Your orientation
20. Completion of “finishing touches”
21. Your move-in

- Weekly updates - your project manager and interior designer will touch base with you weekly to ensure that everything is running smoothly.
- Quality control inspections - your project manager and architect will perform a series of inspections during the course of your project to ensure that everything is completed to our high standards and according to the plans and specifications.
- Homeowner orientation - you will meet with your project manager to go through your home to ensure your complete satisfaction with your project.

Unlike other contractors, we take a very proactive approach to our warranty process. This includes a series of follow-up visits to ensure your complete satisfaction.
- 90-day follow-up - we will contact you to set up a convenient meeting with your project manager to address any warranty items and ensure your complete satisfaction.
- One-year follow-up - we will schedule another meeting with you and your project manager at your convenience to address any new warranty items and to continue to ensure your complete satisfaction.
- One year and beyond - we will continue to stay in touch through our VB Homes Living publication, and we look forward to working with you again on any future projects.
